Swift Onboarding and Invoicing

Connection Options and Setup with ProFIX Group

Connecting to the Swift network is a fundamental step for banks and corporations seeking secure and standardized global financial messaging. As a leader in financial communications, Swift delivers rapid payments, ensures regulatory compliance, and gives institutions distinct competitive advantages.

How to connect to Swift?

Financial organizations should assess Swift connectivity options based on their size, resources, and technology needs. The main integration methods for joining the Swift network are:

  • Direct connection (on-premises setup)
  • Shared connection (via a partner or provider)
  • Alliance Cloud (cloud-based Swift infrastructure)

Direct Swift Connection

A direct setup means installing and managing a full Swift hardware/software suite in-house. Collaboration with a Swift service company covers installation, upgrades, compliance, and continuous monitoring. Organizations opting for direct connectivity gain full operational control, but must invest in equipment, licenses, and specialized staff.

Shared Connection

This approach allows organizations to access Swift through an established partner’s infrastructure – most commonly a Swift Service Bureau. This model is ideal for smaller businesses wanting to reduce capital expenses, with ongoing Swift outsourcing handling compliance, support, and system reliability. The service provider maintains security and updates, while clients are freed from technical maintenance.

Alliance Cloud Connection

ProFIX Group’s Alliance Cloud option delivers secure Swift network access without requiring physical infrastructure investments. Designed for scalability, flexibility, and low IT resource demand, this solution streamlines upgrades and adapts efficiently to new requirements for banks and corporations.

What is Swift Service Bureau?

The Service Bureau is a non-financial entity established under the direct control and annual audit of the Swift Headquarters (Belgium). ProFIX Group provides services of connecting and operating the Swift network via the Swift Service Bureau, as well as advising on connection to the Alliance Lite 2 cloud solution.

Since 2002, dozens of clients have appreciated the advantages of connecting via the Swift Service Bureau of ProFIX Group:

  • High level of reliability and a real opportunity to reduce costs. No need for Customers to order and maintain a special hardware and software, no need to hire, to train and certify their employees.
  • Guarantee of professionalism and qualifications. Service Bureau is regularly audited by Swift, the results constantly confirm full compliance with the terms of Shared Infrastructure Programme. This program includes requirements for security, technological and other parameters that determine the readiness of Service Bureau to provide services.

  • No requirement to purchase or maintain costly hardware
